Art is about ideas - choose the best media to express your concept.
I am interested in the idea of universal appeal. Many of my found and fabricated sculptures are specific to time, history, process and function. First impressions may not communicate the whole content of the work; there is room for investigation, discovery, laughter, self-interpretation and self-examination. The work is a reflection on contemporary living. I create works that are recognizable, yet, uniquely new to the viewer and myself. They are cultural remnants a reference to our being, our curiosities, our investigations, and our habits. My intent is to create a new context and dialogue for objects that define and redefine communication.
