This work is a metaphor for life's journey. Life is transient and passing - it is a journey. We may travel many roads, but ultimately choose one path.

The stone for this work was borrowed (with permission) from Vedauwoo, just off Interstate 80 between Cheyenne and Laramie. It was believed to be a place of the gods by the Native Americans. The Arapaho referred to it as "earth-born."
